
Who We Are
Established in 1968 by Mrs. Coretta Scott King, The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change (“The King Center”) has been a global destination, resource center and community institution for over a quarter century. The King Center is a 501(c)3. Nearly a million people each year make pilgrimage to the National Historic Site to learn, be inspired and pay their respects to Dr. King’s legacy.
The King Center Bookstore & Resource Center sits inside Freedom Hall at 449 Auburn Ave, NE, Atlanta, GA 30312 and is open 7 days a week, 10 am-5pm.
What We Do
We sell a variety of books by Dr. And Mrs. King, Gandhi, and children’s books about the civil rights movement and nonviolence as a way of life. In addition to books we sell merchandise aligned with our mission to raise awareness and funds for The King Center. Our amazing staff keep the store stocked and running, develop product, and act as ambassadors for The King Center and its mission.
